Veteran’s Administration Audiology Chief, Dr. Paula Myers
Many people suffer from a sensation of constant ringing, buzzing, humming or roaring in their ears! Paula Myers, Ph.D., Chief of the Audiology Section at the Tampa VA Hospital, has worked at the Tampa VA for 32 years. Her expertise and research focuses on tinnitus management, development of audiology educational materials, traumatic brain injury and auditory rehabilitation. She chaired the Audiology Southern Professional Standard Board and National Audiology Patient Education Workgroup and is a former teacher of the Deaf and Deaf-Blind and Assistant Professor at University of South Florida.

The HLAA Sarasota/Manatee Chapter meets each month on the second Wednesday at the Sarasota North Library, which has a hearing loop installed and the Chapter provides CART (Communication Access Real-time Captioning), so “hearing” is not stressful at all.
Members and guests are always welcome – no RSVP required!
HLAA – Sarasota/Manatee Chapter offers education, information, advocacy and support for those with hearing loss and their families. Meetings are always open to the community.
