We strive to provide our audience with the latest information on products, services, research, and technology in the hearing health care field. Our visitors and members look for practical and useful information. They also find personal stories of people with hearing loss to find encouragement and give them the feeling that they are not alone and can live successfully with a hearing loss.

Like everyone around the world, we here at Florida HLAA and our National office are concerned about the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19). Many events are being cancelled, as well as universities and local schools will be suspending classes for two weeks following their spring break.
Some of our HLAA Chapters leader have asked if they should continue to hold their meetings. The national office echo what I would say first and foremost, do what you think is best to protect your health and the health of our members. As people become more at increased risk, especially our older members and those with health conditions know you are not required to hold meetings. Please follow the recommendations of your local public health officials and follow the CDC guidelines for safety. The CDC gives excellent advice for hand washing, staying home if you are sick, and other precautions. If you have the means to meet virtually, Facebook live, Skype or Zoom are great options.
